William E. Rigsby, formerly of Durant, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in Converse, Texas at the age of 90 years old. He was born on April 2, 1933 to William Hughes and Margarite Rigsby in Durant, Oklahoma.
William honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. He received his master’s degree and worked as a school principal. William also enjoyed the game of golf.
He is survived by his son, Eric Rigsby of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Ann Owens of Owasso, Oklahoma and brothers, Paul Rigsby and wife Kathy of San Antonio, Texas and Cliff Lambeth and wife Betty of Dallas Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Hughes and Margarite Rigsby; wife, Jeanne Rigsby; sisters Louise Beller, Stella Buchanan and Patsy Cox.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Highland Cemetery where William will be laid to rest.
