Shirley "Mo" Ramona Allen

Shirley Ramona “Mo” Allen passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on August 20, 2023 at the age of 86 following a lengthy bout with dementia. She was born March 6, 1937 near Wade, Oklahoma to Bud and Lula Mae (Branch) Jones.

Mo’s career spanned from working in the sewing factories in Bonham, Texas during the war effort to finally retiring from Texas Instruments/MEMC. Mo made many friends wherever she went and enjoyed them all, young and old.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Allen of the home, Darrell Allen and wife Sheila of Wade, Oklahoma, granddaughter Jessica Allen and son Jeremiah of Calera, Oklahoma, grandson Zachary Allen and wife Cheyenne with sons Arliss and Ike of Bennington, Oklahoma, and her sister Juanita Rollins of Denison, Texas.

Preceding her in death are her husband Lorance Allen, her parents Bud and Lula Mae Jones, sisters Tommie Tomlinson and Rose Head, and her brothers Buster, A.J. and Cotton Jones.

Family Hour will be from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel. Her funeral will be Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Wade Baptist Church with Chaplain David Kautt officiating. Mo will be laid to rest in Wade Cemetery following her funeral service.

Those serving as pallbearers are Danny Johnson, Tracy Johnson, Benny Blackwell, John Swett, Mike Allen, and Darrell Allen. Tim Willingham and Zach Allen will serve as honorary pallbearers.
