Richard Testerman

Richard Testerman of Platter, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the age of 79. He was born on August 21, 1943 in Elgin, Oklahoma to Jesse Albert and Lela Gertrude (Welch) Testerman. On January 7, 1969, Richard married the love of his life Thelma Morrow in Greensville, Texas.

Richard worked as a paint and body man all of his life. He had a love of old cars. He was known to be a real people person and enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping and swimming. He was also known to enjoy roller skating. Richard loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Thelma of Platter, Oklahoma, his sons James Testerman and wife Kristen of Denison, Texas, Richard Testerman of Cartwright, Oklahoma, and Bill Testerman and wife Deana of Sherman, Texas, his daughters Janet Testerman of Denison, Texas, Pattie Mendenhall and husband Tim of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Patty Testerman of Pottsboro, Texas and Amanda Ritterhouse and husband JT of Calera, Oklahoma. His legacy lives on with his twenty grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Condor of Azel, Texas and brother Mark Van Buren and wife Linda, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Lela Testerman, son Jesse Albert Testerman, two of his sisters and 2 of his brothers.

Family Hour is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Little Dixie Cemetery in Platter.
