Lisa Menefee

Lisa Menefee of Fort Worth, Texas passed from this life on September 17, 2023 at the age of 54 years old. She was born on October 1, 1968 in Fort Worth, Texas to Earl M. and Hazel Jean (Mills) Cox.

Lisa worked as a manager of housekeeping. She enjoyed going camping and fishing with her husband Ernest. Lisa was very creative and enjoyed scrapbooking and writing poetry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Ernest Menefee of the home, son David Benavidez of Fort Worth, Texas, and son Ernest Menefee also of the home, daughter Jessica Michelle Menefee-Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, and granddaughter Ava Marie Smith. She is also survived by her brothers Bobby Dale Mills and Raymond S. Cox both of Fort Worth, Texas, sister Cheryl Percell and husband Gene of Bennington, Oklahoma, as well as uncles Roy and Joe Mills and Charlie Cox, and her aunt Faye O’Neal.

Preceding her in death are her parents Earl and Hazel Cox, her brother Randy Cox, and her grandparents Emmitt and Dessie Cox, Roger Mills and wife Laura, and Rosie Menefee.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma with Roger Speers officiating. Lisa will be laid to rest in Bennington Cemetery following her funeral service. Bob Cox, Shawn Cox, Brian Todd, Rick Cowley, and Robert Burdine will serve as pallbearers.
