Kenneth James Johnson, a proud member of the Choctaw Nation, and beloved husband, father, and sibling, left this life on October 31, 2020 at the age of 64. He was born in Marietta, Oklahoma to Frank Johnson and Lavene (Brokeshoulder) Johnson on October 31, 1956. Family hour will be from 6-8:00 PM on Tuesday November 3rd at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM at the Highland Cemetery Pavillion in Durant, Oklahoma with Layne Heitz officiating. His pallbearers will be Daniel Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Justin Bishop, David Scott, Lee Rackley, and Josh Marsch. His honorary pallbearers will be Jay Herschel and Spencer Davis. The graveside service will be available for viewing on our FB page via live stream.
Kenneth was a water tech for the City of Durant’s Wastewater Plant for many years. He transferred to a position in Ada and then to the Randell Lake Denison Water Plant where he later retired. He was a member of the Water Quality Group and the Texas Water Quality Association. A leader in the Boy Scouts and enjoyed hunting for fossils and rocks, with his Texoma Rock Hounds Group.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his cherished wife, Andrea, daughter, Alissa Marsch and husband Josh, sons, Daniel Johnson and Ryan Johnson and wife Aleisha, sisters, Shirley Thompson and husband Edwin of Marietta, Oklahoma, Rita Scott and husband Larry of Ada, Oklahoma, and Barbara Johnson of Marietta, Oklahoma, he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Calvin Johnson, Jim Johnson (Tiny), Ronnie Johnson, and Bill Johnson, and nephew, Russell Johnson.
