Imogene Knipe passed away in Paris, Texas on August 12, 2023 at the age of 91. Imogene was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on December 2, 1931 to William and Docie (Bell) Melton. She was married to Dale Knipe on May 1, 1952, until his death on January 11, 1978.
Imogene was a homemaker, taking loving care of her home and family. She was a former member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Carroll Knipe and wife Debra of Granbury, Texas, daughter Brenda Lyle of Dallas, Texas, daughter Ruthie Hamm and husband Randy of Powderly, Texas, granddaughter Reanna Hamm and Stephen of Dallas, Texas, and grandsons Joe Holley of Montgomery, Alabama, Michael Knipe and Angela of Corinth, Texas, Chris Knipe and Sasha of Treasure Island, Florida and Ryan Hamm and Rachel of Keller, Texas. Also surviving Imogene are her great-grandchildren Zoran, Matty, Colton, Miles, Savannah, and Rivers, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmy Moore officiating. She will be laid to rest in Old Philadelphia Cemetery in Blue, Oklahoma.
