Earnest Sinor

June 14, 1933 ~ July 8, 2020 (age 87)


Earnest Sinor a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Wednesday June 8, 2020, in Denison, Texas at the age of 87. Earnest Sinor was born June 14, 1933, in Hendrix, Oklahoma to Cleatus B. Sinor & Beulah V. (Bone) Sinor. Earnest married Shirley Skinner on September 4, 1954 in Denison, Texas.

Earnest is a member of the Kemp Church of Christ in Kemp, Oklahoma. He was a farmer, machinist, and owner of many business. He never met a stranger and loved talking to anyone who would listen. He loved spending time with his family they were truly his pride and joy. Once grandkids came along Earnest could not get enough of them and loved spending time with them.

Earnest is survived by his wife, Shirley Sinor of the home, daughter, Marcia Grove and husband Billy of Calera, Oklahoma. Son’s, Steven Sinor of Kemp, Oklahoma and Bruce Sinor of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Grandsons, Chance Sinor and wife Brooke of Kemp, Oklahoma, Logan Sinor and wife Sarah of Durant, Oklahoma, Samuel Stevenson of Hendrix, Oklahoma. Granddaughters, Hannah Madrid and husband Dewayne of Durant, Oklahoma, Jorgia Wood and husband Donnie of Kemp, Oklahoma. Along with 18 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister in laws, Mary Ann Dobbins and Katrinka Skinner of Achille, Oklahoma. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sinor is preceded in death by his parents, Cleatus B. Sinor & Beulah V. (Bone) Sinor. Brothers, Cleatus Sinor Jr, TM Sinor and James Sinor. Sister, Melba Sinor.

Family will receive friends Friday, July 10th, 2020, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home, 121 North 5th, Durant, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Earnest Sinor will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, 10:00 AM at the Kemp Church of Christ in Kemp, Oklahoma with Jan Kelly officiating. Following will be internment with Sam Stevenson, Logan Sinor, Chance Sinor, Josh Dobbins, Donnie Wood, Billy Grove, Dewayne Madrid, and Stanley Cobbs serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Sinor, Danny Paul Skinner, and Jay Dobbins.
