Carl Ray Shipman

Carl Ray Shipman passed peacefully from this life on January 6, 2023 at the age of 84. He was born August 15, 1937 in Durant, Oklahoma to J.D. and Katie (Venable) Shipman. 

Carl was a hard worker. He was a retired contract laborer. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop and sharing stories with his friends. He loved fishing and hunting. He was also known to enjoy a shopping trip to Walmart.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons Randall Shipman and wife Kimmie, John Shipman, and James Shipman, his daughters Carla Darlene Clark and husband Conrad, Vickie Macias and husband Robert, and Suprina Marshall and husband Ryan, as well as his brothers Don Shipman and wife Rayanna, and James Shipman. His legacy lives on with his eight grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents J.D. & Katie Shipman, sister Katie, brothers Zeral, Calvin, Alvin , Blane, and Lane.

Family Hour of visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with Dennis Pena officiating. 

Those serving as pallbearers are Takoda Macias, Michael Macias, Robbie Macias, James Shipman, Eric Shipman, Robert Downs, and Earl Downs.
